Especially good if you make it through to the support people in Egypt. They are both charming and effective!
All they need to do now is improve my signal!
OX15 4QY !!!!! Turn up the power !!!!
Like most people, I have a love-hate relationship with my mobile network operator.
I've been with Vodafone since the company I signed up with over 10 years ago was bought by them, so have been with them long enough to have gone through several different experiences, including wanting to leave them, having my phone stolen, upgrading, etc.
To be honest, and this might not be a popular opinion, their service has always been pretty good.
The one time so far I've ever had anything stolen, it was relatively painless to replace it once I had a crime number and a couple of phone calls and one delivery later I was back in business (literally).
When I wanted to leave them it was because my tariff at the time didn't charged me calling people on other networks and hardly anyone I knew was on Vodafone. They changed my tariff to help me. I'm sure some might argue that they ought to have supplied me with that automatically, but I was on a very old tariff.
Coverage-wise I've always loved Vodafone. Am able to get reception pretty much everywhere except for some remote places where you're unlikely to expect coverage or to receive any calls anyway. I've heard friends complain before about a lack of coverage by some other networks in London and been wondered how on earth that could be.
When I finally surrendered to a smartphone, their shop staff were great setting me up, and it's never been anything but easy.
They lose 2 stars for failing to pay their full tax bill to the government though. They wouldn't let me not pay their bills, so why should I go completely easy on them?
Why do you think that credit card could be issued only in UK? Wanted to top-up online, but my card was declined. Used my sister's UK card to do it.
I don't mind Vodafone, their reception in London is quite bad and their plans are not very flexible compared to some competitors, but I like the costumer service which is generally good and the people are nice and helpful 9 times out of 10.
BUT
THEY MUST STOP USING DPD to handle their phone exchanges. The company is really bad and I don't know anyone satisfied with their service. Please Vodafone, stop using DPD (see DPD review for further details).
Very poor customer service- not interested in customers at all
Not always the most innovative but good coverage, great value in the EU and the best web relations team going. When it comes to customer service I have struggled to beat Vodafone and i have been a pay monthly customer of every main network over the years - this is my 3rd or 4th time with Vodafone, which I have never done with any other network.
As with any network you may struggle with coverage in parts and Vodafone are no different. Not always the cheapest either but I think you get what you pay for and I always have with Vodafone.
I would be happy to recoommend Vodafone to anyone based on my experiences.
Slow 3G service throughout the UK and a customer service portal that will fail to let you top up and continue using your phone about 60% of the time.
10 years with this company and this is how they treat you.
Kept restricted my phone even thou I paid the bills and then kept telling me , the money had got lost in the system , It kept happening and happening . Never saw any goodwill credit even thou they offered me it.
Even the direct debit payment was paying some one else's account.
Then times after they said I will be immediately turned back on , I wasn't and would have to go through the process all over again.
AWFUL!!!!!
Been with them for years. I do find their coverage seems to be getting worse in places and get diss connected in mid call, and repeatedly too.
Shame you don't have Vodafone in America too
I have been with Vodafone for over 10 years and how do they reward this loyalty. By adding 3 Blackberry handsets and associated contracts to my account without my request or permission thus increasing my monthly bill by 200%. When I have complained and tried to get these additional accounts removed they have put every possible obstacle in my way. Typically bouncing me around various departments, keeping me hanging on until my mobile battery ran out. Conveniently loosing one of the handsets when I returned them and still insisting all 3 additional accounts remain on my bill and my bill is paid in full.
So I would warn any Vodafone long term customers to be very suspicious if anyone rings you, congratulates you on your loyalty and offers you a smart phone as a reward. They are out to con you, put the phone down on them straight away.
Vodafone has a debt to asset ratio of 26%
I have a debt to asset ratio of 0.9%
Yet they didn't let me have one touch on the basis of my credit.
Thats about it really!! - I have been with Vodafone all my mobile life, some 20 years. Good service, OK prices and frequent upgrades. Best service is found in the shops (Banbury) instead of on the phone but great all round.

I've been with Vodafone for many years and have had no problems at all. Very sound.
Vodafone coverage is good - even in the rural location where I live. Most other networks do not cover my house, unless you stand in a particular corner of the hall.
The only think I dislike is that I quite often get voicemails coming through several hours or even days after they were left by a caller.
Moved from 02 to Vodafone and fairy happy with them.
good pricing plans
Cheap rates and plenty of free apps available.
THIS IS ONE OF ONLY TWO NETWORKS THAT I CAN RECEIVE IN WEST WALES
...Now they just have an annoying sales force.
By the way I've been with them for over ten years and I think it's time for a change.
Have been with Vodafone for about 5 years now and think they have a lot to offer. Their price and call plans are very competitive and I would recommend to anyone - nice feature is their Freebee Rewardz so every time you top up you earn points which can be redeemed and spent in a variety of locations from store gift vouchers to paintballing, or if you prefer a free top up.
I am also an O2 customer but this doesn't compare at all!
I have been a Vodafone customer for more than 15 years, great company!
Service is generally pretty good, but don't bother contacting their customer services. I asked if I could get another user on my account to view my bills. Was told they would set up an email to them. Nothing happened, the notes did not mention that promise, their complaints website form is broken and they didn't reply to a complaint letter.
So phone connection + 3G: 5 out of 5
Customer service : -1 / 5,
so a total score of 2 / 5
The website of Vodafone as well as provide all the news about the new promotions also offers information on their number. There should be more chances to win free refills, and more transparency on information related to their number.
Moved to Vodafone from 02 thinking that it would be better for signal around the country.
Didn't get what I though I was going to get though, in places there is no signal at all.
Maybe I am just unlucky but other than that the service and help has been superb, no issues with the company, just the signal could be better in certain places around the country
Mobile phone customer service is hard to come by, but I've always been pleased with vodafones service when overseas
After my two year contract was up, I thought about upgrading to a new handset, but knowing that as soon as you have got the latest model in your hands for longer than five minuets along comes a brand new one on to the market which seems to knock yours back into last years handset.
However i have to say, I own a HTC Desire and i am very happy with it and was reluctant to upgrade to the latest model. So i contacted Vodafone and asked what are my options? They were very helpful they went through my price plan and my usage and came up in my opinion with a great deal! basically keep my old handset and then keep the same options 600 Min's free calls unlimited text, and 500MB of web browsing, which i was paying nearly £50 if you include the VAT, my new deal was dropped down to £10.25p a month giving me a saving of £480 a year, that's so long as i stay within my limits.
I went on the new deal and waited for my next bill it was for £40 but that included a set up fee and old usage. My new bill is £20.27 and i have to say i am one happy bunny as i am a heavy user on the web browser, once my free allowance of usage was up i then purchased a further 500MB at a cost of £5.
I would honestly say the only thing i think Vodafone should consider is upgrading the limit on the browsers, there coverage is and has been trouble free for me.
I would consider Vodafone over most other companies for coverage of areas and their customer service.
Good customer service & always willing to strike a deal :-)
I find the customer service with vodafone to be good.So far every issue I have had with either my bill or coverage has been dealt with to my satisfaction.
They are however not the cheapest network but that is not to say they are not good value.
rip u off every time !
i have had 3 phone from this company and everytime i have been charged over the price i wanted by 7 fold ! on my last contract with them charged me £50 each month rather to the £25 i was meant to have and for 2 years i called up and had them take off the extra charge as what they said i had i didnt have.
pushy staff and unhelpful in store ! bit better on call centers.
Oh well, no one really cares... particularly Vodafone... bizarre experience all throughout... will change as soon as I can.
Liars and con merchants; the tariif you agree with their salespeople is not what you will receive in the written contract (which is then sent to the wrong address)
very courteous and helpful staff in chichester
many thanks
I have had mobile services through Virgin for over ten years. The downside was the the patchy reception I got when I moved house, so I gave Vodafone a go. I got great signal reception but the customer service was dreadful. I was never probably able to access my account on-line despite spending hours waiting to speak to customers service, whose English is often so poor that the are incomprehensible. When my contract completed I emailed stating my intention was to finish the service. Having received no reply I decided to give up an evening waiting to deal with customer service who said the email did not reach them so I had to give another four weeks worth of notice and pay for a service I was not using. I should have complained but you get so tired of dealing with non-English speakers that are only interested in following the company line. Back to Virgin!
Good company and not bad customer service, although dongle service is really bad, hance the drop of one star.
Always able to help me with my business account and deal with my requests.
I like how vodafone gives a reward for every top up!
