I have a ClubCard on my SmartPhone; it comes up in my name and I have points. I call Tesco's "HelpLine", as for some reason the cashier said the number was not valid.
The number is NOT registered to me, she said. She asked for person the number was registered to and I suggested the wife. She said "No"
So... - whom is the card registered to, I asked, to be able to get number/name corrected.
She was not allowed to tell me, so I promised never to use Tesco again!
Mr. Flemming CHRISTENSEN, Grange Cottage, Chesham, Bucks, HP5 2TF
P.S. For the benefit of Tesco, then the number is:
634004 024041596133
Well i bought a 2litre bottle of tesco everyday cider and i have to say it was everything expected, it was absolutely... fucking shit
Tesco lost my Game made me wait 4 week after release for a refund, then they shut down my account, then I got an email telling me they had the game back. I now use Sainsburys, I get games all the time and on release day
i am very pleased in regards to the price of cheese! it is much cheaper than sainsbury's - 7 quid there, but £3.70 at tesco for the same cheese brand and weight!
thank you tesco! you're my hero!
Had tesco vouchers exchanged for Novotel hotel vouchers . Followed instructions, exchange vouchers then phone a 10p a minute novotel booking line to be told no availability Friday, Saturday in Edinburgh centre for May, June, July or August. Changed location to York, Novotel York not participating. Ok try another location tried London several hotels still no availability......erm why is it called participating partners when NO AVAILABILITY!!! Refund of vouchers requested.
I went into Tesco, Dundee Kingsway, this morning to buy an Apple ipad Smart Case. It is advertised by the Apple shop at £39, so I assume this is the RRP. However, Tesco believe that they should charge above the RRP as they are charging £45. Luckily PC World just across the car park do not believe in price matching Tesco and are charging £39. Tesco are ripping off customers who don't check or can't check prices on the net.
I've been overcharged by this store over and over again, usually on special offer items (where the offer is not applied at the checkout or staff have forgotten to remove the special offer signs). Admittedly customer services have always refunded me the difference but it happens far too often and every time they say they will address the issues.
Today was something new completely in that they conned me into buying a larger product by facing it up on the small products label. There were none of the smaller product available and the larger product wasn't stacked anywhere else so it was either poor staff training or deliberate to get a customer to buy of of the last few remaining larger products.
The item cost £1.78 instead of what i perceived to be £1 - not huge in the scheme of things but at a 78% more than i expected then yeah it is huge.
I might add that the entire shelf was empty apart from around 7 of these products in the middle on their own so there was no need at all for them to be faced up in the wrong area. They had even faced them up under the same products label so first glance you just saw the manufacturer and picked it up thinking it was bargain
I did try to go to the instore customer services but they were serving sandwiches etc and the queue was too long so completed the online form. Having said that i never provided a number because this time was once too often. I am moving in 2 weeks and my new place will afford me the choice of Tesco or Asda equidistant for me to travel so maybe it's time to go elsewhere!
Shopped in tescos today used their self service machines which then proceeded to jam £40 of my nan's money in the note reader, the self service assistant was helpful i will give them that concession was happy up till then, he contacted the checkout manager who we had to wait for for nearly an hour at which point the assistant came back and said he was trying to contact the assistant manager as the manager did not wish to come down to deal with the problem. we then had to wait a further 20 minutes for the assisstant manager at which point my nan a 65 year old woman with poor health had to ask my partner to go and get her a bottle of lucozade before she passed out from the stress of the situation. the assistant manager was rude and refused to resolve the problem saying we could not have our shopping or our money back we would have to leave the store without either. as we went to go to the cigarette counter to pay for the bottle of lucozade the security who had seen us put the money in the machine and all the exchange then proceeded to tell my nan DON'T THINK YOU'RE LEAVING THE STORE WITHOUT PAYING FOR THAT. to which my nan threw the bottle onto the scales and walked off and i said call the police we've paid for that bottle 40 times over to which he replied i know you have. so overall no shopping £40 stolen by a machine and rude and unhelpful workers WILL NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BE SHOPPING THERE AGAIN
We had an order cancelled at 7.00 on Sunday night 07/04/13 so no other supermarkets were open so we had no shopping for the week. I put together a letter and email it to them and I have still not had a reply from Tesco letter below
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am extremely annoyed about the way Tesco has let us down. When you read what happened I am sure you will be just as horrified.
I was going to write a letter of complaint to your Chairman and send it by recorded delivery. After speaking to my daughter I decided to email you first and give you the chance to restore my faith in Tesco’s before taking the matter further.
My daughter always orders the weekly shop on line and we normally have it delivered between 8am and 9am on a Saturday. This week my wife and I were away until Sunday afternoon so the shopping was ordered for between 6pm and 7pm on Sunday.
When there was still no sign of our shopping after 7pm on Sunday my wife rang your helpdesk and spoke to Darren a customer services manager. Instead of making matters better they were made much worse.
My wife was told the order had been cancelled she asked why and by who but Darren did not know. She was horrified. She was put on hold. Darren came back and said the delivery vehicle had broken down.
My wife asked the obvious question why no one had bothered informing us. The reply was I don’t know. My wife passed the phone to me I asked Darren why you could not have used another vehicle. At that time on a Sunday night there must have been several vehicles parked up.
Darren cut me off and said I am telling you about the store. Thinking I had got it wrong I said so the problem was with the store not the vehicle. Darren said the problem was caused by a vehicle breakdown.
I replied the question is still valid why you hadn’t used another vehicle. Darren replied it was not just a vehicle you needed but also a driver. I pointed out the obvious that you had a driver for the broken down vehicle. That driver could have driven one of the other vehicles.
It became obvious that Darren was not helping the matter. Darren then said the delivery could be rearranged. I pointed out we urgently needed milk and also bread and meat for three lots of sandwiches for the following morning.
I passed the phone back to my wife because she knew if and when she wanted the order to be delivered, Darren then became very off hand and said. I want to talk to one person not two. Well pardon me we are the ones that have been left without food on a Sunday night when all the supermarkets are closed. It must have been much worse to have to speak to two people.
Customers need to be able to rely on you. I know the vehicle breakdown could not be helped, but you could have handled it so much better. To just cancel the delivery without informing us I am sure you will agree it is totally unacceptable.
As I tried to point out to Darren I am sure all your vehicles were not in use at 6pm on Sunday.
Customer services are supposed to at least try to make things better Darren made it much worse. As you know it is not what someone says but how they say it.
My daughter has received an email from you. No explanation of what went wrong or assuring us you will do your best to deliver our order if it ever happens again. Not even a promise that in future you will bother to inform us if there is a problem.
Your email did contain a voucher for £6 off our next shop. We had used a £5 voucher off the order that you failed to deliver that is now lost. We also prepay the delivery charge. During the recent bad weather you cancelled our order. We understood why even though we managed to drive to the store in Wrexham. It did not alter the fact that we lost out on the prepaid delivery twice. Not a very good deal.
Can you imagine our horror finding out after 7pm on a Sunday night that your entire food order had been cancelled? Any other day of the week ok but Sunday night when all the supermarkets are closed. What were we supposed to do?
As I am sure you know a company’s reputation is hard won and very easily lost. People need to trust you to deliver what they order and deliver it on time. If they can’t trust you they will go elsewhere.
I am hoping you can restore my faith in Tesco’s, Supply a valid explanation of what happened and reassure me that if I continue to shop with you I will never be treated so badly again.
If not I will be sending a copy of this email with a letter by recorded delivery to your Chairman. On the 8th April “You and Yours” on BBC Radio 4 broadcast a feature about why Tesco price match is misleading. I am sure they will do a follow up. If the follow up feature mentions that customers also cannot trust you to deliver their order it will make customers think twice about using your company.
It’s up to you now you have the opportunity to put all of this right.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Regards
Ken Smith
A very angry (and very probably) ex customer
I received no phone call and no card was at the door saying that the driver tried to deliver. These are the two things a driver must do if his attempted delivery fails.
I've called customer service and they didn't help me at all, just postponed my delivery by one day, without trying to fix the problem I raised.
It's my first and last Tesco online order!
I have recently been diagnosed with celiac disease and it is hard to find gluten free options in a supermarket at the best of times. Since my diagnosis I have been travelling to Tesco Extra Cardiff as I felt they had the best range of gluten free food. On my last shop I purchased free from produce over a week out of date and it wasn't until returning home that I realised. It is terrible that a complete lack of care is taken over checking and maintaining the gluten free section, had this section been a gluten containing product from the bakery I am sure this would not of happened. I find it disgusting that they claim to cater for people suffering with celiac however clearly don't care about the products which they are selling. It has been five days since reporting this to their customer services and I am yet to get a response let alone an apology. I advise any gluten free customers to check the dates carefully when purchasing produce or shop at another supermarket where more care is taken.
It started off as a bad day, when two flighs from the middle east were cancelled and it took me 18 hours to get home. At the airport I recieved a text from a friend who was supposed to pick us up,to say that the car had broken down on the way to collect me. So I rang a cab from my home town thirty miles away to pick me up. during this time, at 7.55pm I recieved a call from the Tesco delivery driver to say that there was no one at home for my 8-9pm delivery slot. I explained what had happened and that I would be there within 30 mins, and could they redeliver again with in the hour. I have used Tesco delivery for years and have never let them down (...the customer being King an' all...) but was just asking for some descretion on the drivers part. He refused and said that it would upset his schedule. He offered me an alternative n that I could ask my taxi driver to drive around town and meet him somewhere to take the shopping of the van and take it home with me, to which I refused. I have been away for three weeks, so with a four year old in tow, arrived home to no food or even a bottle of milk. The driver has a schedule apparently, to which every drop has a time slot within the hour. There has never been an issue when the driver has turned up half an hour early because he 'was in the area." I rang customer services, but felt worse than I did beforehand, like I had asked them for something ridiculous. We have everything with Tesco, credit cards etc, but this little (and regarded as trivial by Tesco) matter has left a bad taste. I will be rethinking using Tesco again.
I purchased some creme fraiche from my local tesco store in Exmouth that had an expiry of 24th April. The product was watery and sour as if it had gone bad despite being kept in the fridge. Furthermore my wife mixed in an entire carton of raspberries as she did not realise the creme fraiche was bad until she tasted it. I called Tesco's customer services who advised me to take it all back to the store. If they really think I am about to take a bowl full of creme fraiche and raspberries into a tescos store to complain they are mistaken! It's in the bin! I will use another supermarket in future. Awful customer service.
Ordered mobile phone wanted to use their Tesco service and already started to make steps to cancel my current supplier of many years... they cancelled my order without contacting me. Mobile never arrived. The man on the phone was quite rude and just said YES THEY CANCELLED IS AS IS NO LONGER AT THE WEBSITE. What kinda reason is this? No apology anything! Very unprofessional!
If only the Tesco "every little helps" were extended to their customer service. Having finally tired of finding that the prices on shelves in my local Tesco Superstore were often misleading or deliberately miss located and finding when I got home that a buy one get two free meant that taking two only through the till saw me charged full price for both I wrote to Tesco Customer Services. There response was simple, if you took three you would be charged for one, if you take two you will be charged for both. When I wrote back to challenge this response and ask for details to take to trading standards I had no response from them. Most recently I bought a triple play James Bond Skyfall Blueray/DVD/Digital when I tried playing the DVD on my UK only player it failed to play. I looked at the packaging and found that whilst the DVD was Region 2 it wasn't to the UK PAL standard but was in fact in the US standard, hence wouldn't play on a UK only device. When raised with customer service, the response was sorry, that's the way it's meant to be so return it if you're not happy. When I wrote back to suggest they might warn customers of this issue I received no response. When I reviewed the product on their site and pointed out the issue my review was not published, when I asked why it hadn’t been published I received no response. If that's good customer services then I can only say "very little help"

Very rude and unhelpful customer service. If I could I would've given them 0 star
My grocery delivery was supposed to arrive today betwween 11am and 12pm (6 /03/2013). I waited at home till 2pm but no delivery arrived. So, I called customer service and they said the driver came at 12.30pm which a lie because imwas at home .
This is shocking. I asked for a refund and they said I have to wait till the grocery is returned to store. Now, I will have chase them to get my money back. Customer service are very rude and unhelpful and the last lady I spoke to hang up on me.
They should learn how to do business and how to treat customers. I will never ever buy anything from tesco again
I writing this review to warn others to check there receipts after they go food shopping. I was a very loyal customer of Tesco, Food shopping, petrol, tesco direct and spent £1000s with them over the years. The last 6 months have been very bad, problems include, waiting in line for over 20 minutes on more than 1 occassion to pay for a sandwich at lunch time because they didnt have enough staff. Then I started to notice on my grocery receipts that their price charges were incorrect to what they advertise on the ticket. Unfortunately I had gone home before I read the receipt so couldnt go back and complain. 2nd occassion they charged me twice for the same item - missed it again. 3rd occassion they over charged me on washing powder by a whopping £8. Caught it this time in store after reviewing my receipt for 5 minutes before I left and got my money back. These 3 occassions happened 1 after the other. I dont trust Tesco anymore and have stopped using them as I dont have time to be cross referencing every single item against my receipt. You want to buy with confidence and know the price advertised is the price you are going to pay. This is a warning to others to make sure you check your receipts very carefully and in store. My experiences above are from using 2 different Tesco stores.
It was a week before my birthday and I was having a party so I decided a Tesco delivery might be slightly more convenient as I don't have a car. Being on a second floor flat I ticked all the right boxes detailing this and wrote in the instructions section to call my mobile as the buzzer is unreliable.
I made my large order, chose my slot for the next day and was pleased to get a text the next morning informing me that my delivery will be with me between 9 and 10pm. I sat in all eve had my phone on loud and the first call I received was at 9:30pm saying I had missed my order as I was not in. I asked the driver on the phone why hadn't he called and he rudely answered 'yes I did, four times' which then changed to 'once but phone was off' before he then hung up when I continued to work out why he was clearly lying as nobody had called at all.
I rang customer service who apologised but said they could only re-deliver the next night and I was told between 9-11, which I agreed as I was working until 8.
At 7.30 the next night I had another call... you guessed it - telling me I had missed my order. Again I complained and again I was told to wait in for a third night. I did so and the order was again an hour early - luckily I had left work and got home to preempt this.
After numerous complaints, I was just pleased to have my order - until I noticed my bank balance. TESCO HAD TAKEN THE ORDER PAYMENT TWICE from my account. In utter shock, I rang customer service again only to be told that as my order was cancelled the first time because I wasn't in (which i WAS) and they had to re-take it out of my account the next day and the refund for this would take 3-5 working days to go back. This means I paid double for an order that was 3 days late without knowing about it. When I asked customer service why they thought it was ok to take the payment from my account again without even telling me, they said that this is the way they do it. Oh and the second time they took the money, I was charged a higher amount as I assume the deals were different later in the week.
TESCO you really don't help.
Kingston upon Thames branch is just crappiest shop in London . Shame ,lazy, rude, poor language staff , disgusting , dirty floor, coffee machine which I never found to be in working order... guess how can they afford it nowadays
We have used Tesco home delivery pretty much since it started & things always worked OK.
However after signing up for their 3 month delivery plan, something we only did as we received a letter from Tesco saying they couldn't guarantee a Xmas delivery if we didn't, the service has gone down hill at an alarming rate.
On numerous occasions our order has been late & when it hasn't its because basically it just doesn't turn up at all!.
The number of times we have had to telephone their customer service line has been so frequent that we now have them on speeddial.
Sometimes we are lucky enough to get a sympathetic voice on the other end & we have been allocated some vouchers giving us money off our next shop, but equally we get staff who quite honestly sound as though they couldn't give a damn wether we eat that week or not !.
As for the manager/s of our local store,Roborough in Plymouth they are just soo unhelpful it really isn't worth contacting them in the first place.
As we are now waiting for our final order in the 3 month plan (which I really hope arrives today) we are also discussing which alternative superstore we will be spending our hard earned cash with in future.
I live in a student accommodation that has 10 floors however the delivery list on tesco only goes up to the 6th floor, i live on the 7th, problem 1. My friend who lives on the 10th floor ordered her tesco delivery two days ago and put a note to say please call before so she could tell him the mistake, the driver was very accommodating and friendly, bringing her delivery to her fridge door.
Me on the other hand - this driver refused to take my 3 crates of delivery which included 3 cases of glass bottles to my fridge door, like advertised on the van, saying their policy was "they didnt do that" well i know that's not true because i had witnessed another driver do this. he then say, very rudely, well that was that driver. Not to play into the stereotype but Im a girl, how the hell am i going to get 3 crates to the lift, out the lift and into my room?!
Called customer service, who were very apologetic but she also said, it is up to the driver. But again I ask...
Why does it say "deliver to your fridge door" it should be "dump on your porch and run"

I had ordered carrots and .. 90% in the cover were spoiled.. and I had no choice apart from placing them in Bin instead keeping in fridge.
I thought to give Tesco another chance ..
this time i had placed the order for Monday night 8-10pm slot and we got text saying order will be delivered between 8.20-9.20pm and we didn't get order until 9.30pm
We decided to call the customer care they said you should be receiving by 10pm
and we called them at 10.15 pm again and they said its delayed and you can accept order by in 20min.. then it was 10.50pm called up customer care and guess what ''NONE in Home to receive order '' . we were following up with order since 9.30pm and at 10.50pm we get to know we were not in home and that too we were in home... .. that's really unacceptable... good bye tesco...

My groceries were never delivered on time on one occasion I booked a slot for next day delivery, but to my surprise the groceries were never delivered. I had to chase Tesco up for 2 days just to get my groceries, the customer service team were very rude and did not help resolve the issue.
I just received my first home delivery and everything was perfect, the delivery person took everything upstairs in one go, no items were missing and everything in check.
The timing was very good and the delivery person polite and helpful. I will definitely use this service in the future.
I am writing about Tesco Westwood store ,Scarborough.I used to shop there regularly ,spending about 170-200 pounds weekly.Accessing the store on foot is a nightmare, you have to walk round the entire outside of the store, the main doors are round the back.I returned a blind I had bought to customer services, the woman was so horrible, and you would have thought that she was refunding me from her own pocket. There was some fittings missing, but she talked down to me,and I was offended.Another time i was in store choosing Easter eggs for 15 people,so was spending a bit of time in that aisle. An assistant was re-stocking with a large trolley in the centre of the aisle. She was looking very stressed, and was obviously displeased with me looking at the display with my trolley. She was only doing her job,but it was her face,as though I was in the way.I went elsewhere. The next incident was awful.I was in the store with 5 children, and an assistant was stocking the biscuit aisle. There was a packet of broken biscuits on a shelf, and my little girl picked up a broken piece and ate it.Well, the assistant went to town on me,saying she could call the police,it was theft, and was so wrong.I was so upset,I wsa actually buying mobile phones and the weekly shop, and I put everything back and left the store crying, and shouting at my little girl.I have never ,ever, been in there again,or shopped at Tesco in any other way. Also,at that store,if you need to call a taxi, you have to wait outside on the ramp in all weathers. They are taking over our town too,it will be the final nail in the coffin for Scarborough,I can tell you.
Did you know that Tesco's £1- pack of roast potatoes has now gone up to £1-35p that's a massive hike in price!!!!
but i must say that all drivers who have delivered to us have been most pleasant.
I order online my grocerie shopping for over 2 years with Tesco. Within that time, I spent at least £3000 at TESCO!!! That is a lot of money!
Since I live in Sale, the deliveries got worse. The last 2 deliveries and drivers were horrible. Rude, in a hurry drivers, half my order missing and they wanted me to sign even I didn't have all my items! When I refused, the last driver had to go back down and get my stuff. He was very rude, said he was late now because of me. Well, if he saihadn't forgotten half my order, he wouldn't be late? His fault. He said he would complain about me. I wrote an email to customer service got a call back with an apologie. But nothing has happen ever since.... I wrote twice and got just rubbish emails back they investigate. Thats 3 weeks ago.
One thing is for sure. I will NEVER order there again!!!
A bit hit and miss ordering stuff from Tesco. Sometimes it is out of stock and sometimes I've had items been delivered that i never even ordered!! Still, can't complain about their prices.
Had my christmas food shopping delivered this morning. Ordered 1 month ago. I had 17 substitutes and 5 nothing at all. Instead off chilled deserts I got buns that were dated today and no good for xmas. No sprouts, no carrots, missing chicken and no tin of roses which had been pre-ordered. When I called they said sorry its christmas things can be guaranteed. Their pre-order system went wrong and dropped off the system. I still had to go and queue up in Sainsburys for the missing stuff. Never again. I would rather do it myself.
Tesco click and collect
Haydock store 23/12/2012
What a joke, no potatoes, no milk, no veg, no matchmakers.
Pick-up point did not open on time, twenty minutes late before any goods went into any cars and then it was just dropped at the back of the car for you to load yourself.
However the manager 'Will' did explain the shortages. "People keep buying things in the store!
In-store customers have priority so there is no point in ordering goods early, as I did, because you just get what is left in the store at the time they do the picking.
The moral of the story is, don't use Tesco click and collect because you will still have to go shopping elsewhere anyway.
I have the order number and a list of the unavailable items on the Tesco paperwork.
No milk or potatoes two days before Christmas! I had no trouble obtaining these items locally.

we ordered 3 bikes and a few other bits from tesco direct for the kids christmas pressents on the 8th of december. when we checked out it stated 5 day delivery which suited me as would reach my days off from work. the following day half the delivery was dropped at a neighbours house no signatures or anything fortunately i have honest neighbours. its now the 21st and i am still waiting for 2 bikes that have allegedly been attempted to be delivered 3 times.... the first lie! allegedly the delivery firm (yodel) used by tescos had visited my home at 1022 and then again at 1122 both times leaving a card well i was in all day and no card was left and my dogs made no sound so no delivery was made the next day the driver managed to turn up in the 15 mins i popped to the shop and did leave a card. having rang the number to an automated service i find that the item number on the card is not recognised and it isnt online either... several phone calls later with no reply i finally get to chat online with an advisor who tells me that there was only one attempt made on the 1st day so they would rebook for the 20th and deliver it to my work address as this was open 24hrs a day so there had to be someone in.... 20th didnt happen surprise surprise and when checking the online tracking i find out its all been returned to tescos distribution center. 5 calls later i find out that they were not going to tell me about this but wait til the stuff was back and then refund the money to my account well thanks tesco I am now going to have 2 kids without their bikes christmas morning because and i quote "its out of your hands" well whos hands is it in??? what a shiny pill of shite you really are and your socalled good will guesture of redelivering the bikes after christmas and a refund of £50 is really an insult to the kids especially as you havent followed through on any of it up to now. Tesco if you actually bother reading any of this check reviews on your delivery firms!!!! Yodel are a crap waste of space that lie and cheap people out of their deliveries! do yourselves a favour and listen to the people that keep you in business and start looking after the customer again
Purchased an LCD television online costing £168 06/12 which was £198 in-store..Paid £5.95 express delivery for it to be delivered on the Saturday 08/12..Got out of bed early Saturday morning for courier to deliver but need not have bothered because by 13hrs TV had not arrived ..Contacted Tesco direct by email received response immediately informing me of high volume of enquiries..
Then at 16.00hrs sent another email same response as the first time went to yodel tracking informing me of delay contact Tesco direct....
In a nutshell i posted 8 emails to tesco direct Saturday and Sunday and received the same standard auto reply.Never received the personal reply that they promised.TV was delivered 10/12 at 19.00hrs by a yodel courier the box was partially damaged which forced me to ask the courier had the TV been dropped he smirked a bit and said not by him but that it had already been handled by at least 10 people before him..
Anyway TV was fine except for a bit of light leaking through panel bottom of the screen but then what would one expect for such a cheap TV ..My reasons for buying this TV from Tesco is because my Sony LCD 26" which i bought from John Lewis 03/2010 at a cost of £399 developed a screen malfunction....
So my advice to those of you wanting to purchase LCD televisions is buy 2 because one of them is bound to malfunction within 18 months of purchase....
Ordered a case of wine from Tesco online on 7th Dec with next day delivery. That came and went. So did the next day. Called Tesco Wine direct. "It's on the wagon for delivery today". No, not delivered that day either. Or the next. So here we are, 6 days later and we're beginning to get thirsty. Called Tesco Wine again, this time to cancel the order. "I can't cancel the order. it's on the truck for delivery to you today". So no wine ad seemingly no way to cancel the order. Time to get onto the Office of Fair Trading.
I thought to make the most of the double value voucher exchange and buy some wine for Christmas. Spent quite a long time making my selections. Then, VERY carefully filled in the billing address and delivery address. Checked twice to be sure, (they got it wrong once in the past). Where I live in back of a farmyard is difficult for delivery drivers so I get all my orders dropped off at work. Went to checkout and paid the £2 extra on my Mastercard without problem so billing address must be correct. Printed out receipt - billing and delivery addresses swapped over! Not only that billing address is not absolutely correct. So I rang Tesco Wine on 08456775577 and eventually, seven minutes later, I got to speak to a guy. "Cannot alter delivery address until we get tracking information. Ring back tonight before eleven o'clock". So I rang after teatime and after 20 minutes I gave up waiting for a 'representative'. The same situation a couple of hours later. Next morning I rang again and got an answer after eight minutes. "OK. We'll let the delivery guy know the correct address". No delivery that day - a Friday. Was away on Saturday but when I arrived home on Sunday there were two boxes on my door step. No paperwork, no communication from Tesco. Lucky the wine wasn't frozen or it hadn't rained overnight or both. I live above 400 metres. Tesco Wine? Forget it.
Was good to shop at but have no intention of using self service tills and not
ever on £100 shop. Will only go in store if it looks quirt on tills as three quarters
of an hour is not on.
Loads of staff about but bot on tills.
Went shopping last night and bought meat on the 3 for 10 pounds offer only to discover that two of the products had to be eaten by today. Hubby rang customer services as did'nt have the phone number for the new store and was told they were well within their rights to sell it as it was'nt out of date until today. Well, we bought it in the evening after already eating and won't be cooking two meat dishes in the one day. The attitude from them was disgraceful and so I rang back and managed to get the meat refunded but won't be shopping there again. Bad expereince Tesco with your customer service.
A newly opened tesco EXTRA at Salford Manchester which displays only two wife’s Birthday cards !!!!!! A SHOPPING A SHOPPING EXPERIENCE
Tesco just seem to be into everything at the expense of other businesses with a better grip on customer service. OK some deals and 'offers' now and again to tempt me in but so many other items not so cheap and products on display which I feel belong in specialist shops not in a supermarkets. Also - so often, prices and offers completely wrongly displayed and when you point the errors out to staff, they seem either dis-interested or are just too dim to see the error .
I also worry when a supermarket can know your name and address details from your car number plate. I thought only the police were allowed to know that information.( Had a telling off for being parked in their car park whilst supporting a fund raising car boot sale , actually authorised by them on a bank holiday whilst store was closed ) Much too powerful. I'll spread my shopping about and keep as much of it local ( not Tesco Local) . But thanks for the cheap wine deals ( if they are not pre-inflated ones)
Oh - and just in passing... I'm sick of past its veg and fruit being bad quality .Often sold in the prebagged packs. Recently had 3 rotten onions in a pack. Could have gone back and complained but now made the decision to buy elsewhere - like a local greengrocer. Give them a chance and pay a few pence more . Maybe they can do better business and take on some ex-Tesco staff.
I ordered 12 bottles from tescowine.com, I live in a London address, no problems ever before, including Tesco grocery. For my wine order I chose hour slot delivery and eagerly awaited arrival of my order....
Nothing.
I called up on the 0845 number (no landline number so this will cost you) and was on hold for 30 minutes. When answered they hung up straight away. Great. Another 10 minutes on hold and I got through. After explaining my problem all they could say was "we are unable to get through to them at the moment" followed by silence. So I had to probe further to see what the point was that they were not telling me. She said she'll get a response tomorrow and let me know. So, I asked, any chance they are running late and it will get here? No she said (even though they had "no response). Ok I said, why not? She said my wine was still at the store. Great. What time would I be called tomorrow? After 1pm. So no delivery before then? Nope. No explanation, no warning, no idea when I'll get my wine. Absoulutely RUBBISH service. If you are planning on using the wonderful conveinience of hour slot delivery... DONT bother. More hassle than it is worth.
Thanks Tesco. A customer lost forever.
I have had no end of problems with Tesco to the point where a few years ago my clubcard points collected and ready to redeem where refused, it was clear that i had not used the points because the bookings for various hotels certainly i had not been to made it clear there was a mistake. Although I could prove all of this they refused to reinstate my points and I was left with nothing! I will not go into their stores.
I am now on hold, 1/2 hour wait so far, to customer services because I thought I would try Tesco Direct as there seemed to be a good deal for Black Ops two, the delivery is so slow I now need to cancel, the fact of the matter is that their site does not allow a successful cancellation and refund and customer services is my only alternative. I want a refund I've bought it elsewhere in half the time, it's simple not complicated and this is REALLY MY LAST EXPERIENCE WITH TESCO!!!
