We got Into London at 2pm, dropped off our bags and jumped on a Big Bus about 3:30. What a perfect way to get an overview of London while sitting in our sleepy jet-lagged state. The next day we hopped on again and for off to tour the Tower, then take the boat to Big Ben. We walked over to the Harry Potter walking tour. Our guide Jess was Awesome! Even though it was rainy (London after all), our kids had a great time. Our guide kept the tour fun, lively, and interesting. It was nice to see parts of London from the ground level, and stop at the sweet shop was a hit. We feel like the 24 hours of on-off and the added tours were so worth the fare.
Open top bus tours are, in my opinion, the best way to get your bearings when in a new city. We took a two day Big Bus tour in Budapest recently and it definitely contributed to our enjoyment of a city break. It provided an extremely easy way of getting from one attraction to another especially in a city as big as Budapest. The timings at the stops were sometimes a little out but this could be excused by the traffic which could be heavy at times. All in all a great experience.
we had a really good time on the open top bus you can get on and off when ever you like and you get comentry as you go around giving you lots of information about the buildings and what happened years ago in London well worth its money
Fun, interesting and reliable.
We rely enjoyed the bus tour, our guide was brilliant and I would recommend this toy friends. We booked the48 hr tickets and went on the boat trip to Greenwih. That was really good.
My Big Bus order number is 174032.
If you only have a few days in London, you owe it to yourself to take a bus tour. The best way to see all the highlights in a couple of hours. Buses are modern and clean.
Next time with another bus company?!
It took too long to catch the next bus. Very nice and helpfull bus guide !!
In my option there´s no sens not to have the service for the foreign language in all bus lines.
And of course this side here should be in my laguage! Not only english.
Improve yourself!
Weather perfect, so the top of a double Decker was an awesome way to learn about London. Couple of things to be aware of. Brochure they gave us was outof date & didn't have accurate run times. And we took the included river tour @ 6pm from the London eye. It was advertised as "round trip", but when the boat pulled up to the tower bridge, they told us there was no return trip since it was the last run of the day. The out of date brochure we had said the last bus had run & we were miles from our hotel. Fortunately the busses were still running, but you should verify the schedule
A comfortable easy way to get around and view all the famous sights. A sunny day and the front seats made it perfect.
we lost our one hour in wrong trip
I recoment it,
The only problem I had was that they change the route on the second day and they dont notify it.
Some drivers were excellent, others were rude.
Your Harry Potter Tour guides are AMAZING.
The ending route time was really inconvenient.
One of the audio ports was broken and I couldn't hear the commentary.
Your red line buses are completely lost, only saw one in the 2 days.
3 hours tour takes you to all places you would like to see. The map you get free on your starting point helps you to understand where you are. The commects are in many languages. Take it on your first day.
Everything about this trip was a disaster. We were sent in the wrong direction on the Green Line. So we wasted more than 1/2 hour before we could even get ONTO the Blue Line. When we got off at a stop (it is, after all, hop-on, hop-off), we couldn't find space on another bus for quite a while. So when we did, we decided we'd better not get off again. However, Big Bus foiled us again, by suddenly announcing that the driver had completed his hours and evreybody had to get off--when we then waited another 1/2 hour for a replacement bus. When we wanted to get off again, we took a taxi back to our hotel. Waste of money and very annoying.
The Big Bus tour was great. We were able to catch the bus with in two block of our hotel. When we saw something we wanted to look at more closely, we just got of the bus and took our time at that particular attraction, then caught the next Big Bus Tour bus and continued on the tour.
Our 2-story open air Bigbustour was everything we had hoped. We saw so many outstanding sights up close and personal in the city. An exciting adventure. Also, we could hop on, visit a place, and get on again when we needed to do so.
We had a fabby time! The staff make the journey not only informative but also funny and exciting. They went out their way to make us comfortable and also advised us where to get off depending on where we wanted to go. They also gave us tips on where to eat and the best value restaurants and trips. We purchased a 48hr ticket and by the second day most staff knew us by name! The Bigbustours made our stay in London a happy fuss free one! I would recommend them to anyone young and old! Many Thanks xxxx
This tour allowed the family to see all the great sites of London from the comfort of the bus. Once we decided which site was first on our list, the frequent bus stops made it so easy. Thanks Big Bus Tours. See you next time.
I can thoroughly recommend Big Bus Tours. I booked 4 tickets for myself, my partner and my partner's parents, who were visiting from France. Unfortunately later the same week I got a phone call from the hospital to say I'd need to go in on the day we'd booked our tour. I rang the customer service number and spoke to a lady called Patsy who was so helpful and really kind and arranged the refund of my ticket. The others still went and had a fabulous day. I'm just sad I missed out, hopefully I will get to do it myself another time!
Excellent service. Outstanding value for money. All of London can be seen in a day. Staff were very helpful.
I greatly enjoyed the tour, as did my USA guests.
It would be helpful if an approximate time for a full tour was available. If it was on your literature then I missed it.
The guide named Katherine was really nice and friendly. She was fantastic. U need to employ more guide like her. Thanks.
Our family had a great day out over the May Bank Holiday weekend and the experience with the Big Bus tour was great. We had ideas of places we wanted to see in the city and the different routes offered made them all easily accessible. The blue route gave you the option of listening to the commentary whilst the red route provided a spoken guide which was great if you had any questions. The green route was handy for getting us back to our hotel near Kings Cross. The pace was just right for a relaxing day and there were so many buses stopping to pick up that we didn't have to wait very long when we had finished visiting a stop on the tour. The river cruise was also good fun with a witty commentary.
Hop on, hop off was perfect. Best choice for the first visit to London.
It is our second time in London and we decided to take the Big Bus Company as we did the first time because it was fantastic very convenient and staff very well
Beautifull bustour and nice cruise.
This bus tour was great. It included all the big sights and I was actually able to get decent pictures without even having to get off the bus (although I highly suggest walking around the stops too). All the tour guides were very friendly. I also took advantage of the boat tour and walking tour to see the Changing of the Guard. Would definitely recommend.
I bought some online tickets for the BigBus tour, it was very easy to book it and use it on the bus. We got our real tickets from the BB personal at the bus station.
The busses are good, but it was no heating on it, so it was very cold.
There are many traffic jams in London, that's why the tour is very-very slow!!!!! We were in May 2013 in London. I think in the sommertime is worse. But actually I can pay for it again:) So bad it was not!
I have lived near London for over 30 years and cannot understand why I have never done this trip before. My family have been over from Canada so I purchased the tickets for my 2 grown up daughters, my granddaughter (5 years old) and my cousin and his daughter. We embarked on our river trip at 10.30am up to Greenwich, with the most amazing live commentary from someone who clearly enjoys his job! Having had lunch at Greenwich and walked to see the Royal Observatory, we re-embarked for the rest of the river trip back to Waterloo pier. Immediately after, we headed for the whole "red" bus tour which was absolutely amazing. The information and commentary/entertainment was incredible with the guide getting the whole bus to sing "Happy Birthday" to me and also enrolling my granddaughter to sing "London's Bridge is falling down" on the mike! Like I say, it was an absolutely fantastic way to spend a day and certainly great value for money. I would recommend it it highly to all ages as one of the most value for money attractions and simply the best way of seeing London. Thank you for a very memorable birthday :-)
We had brill time. Kids got to see London all in one day and enjoy a river cruise. Really cool
Only in London for one night so thought this tour would be quite good. Wrong, it was great, we saw so much more by taking this tour than we would have been able to get to on our own, the commentary was really informative as well. If this was not enough we also took the free river cruise provided by yourselves, to the Tower, went in there then another free trip back to Westminster. Well done Big Bus Tours would certainly recommend, thank you.
